I spent six years as a CTO building payment and compliance systems that had to stay up through almost anything, and the years before that building healthcare, e-commerce and booking platforms.
Today I'm building wildfire-risk assessment software at Morris Mitigation Services and helping mission-driven teams build reliable systems and healthy engineering organizations. The rest of my time goes to my wife, our garden, our cat and dog, the mountains, playing bass guitar and French horn, and riding for the Boulder Mountain Bike Patrol. Currently training for the Leadville 100 MTB.
Fractional CTO & technical advisory
I take on a small number of part-time engagements with startups and nonprofits in conservation, climate, disaster resilience, health and impact work, in Colorado and remotely with organizations around the world.
